Col. J. J. Dill, the commanding officer of the 1st Marine Corps District, speaks on behalf of Gen. James Amos, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, at Sgt. Greg Caron’s homecoming celebration Sept. 28. Caron was severely wounded by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Afghanistan.
