Recruiting Station Frederick was founded in Frederick, Md. in 1999. The headquarters building is located off Buckeystown Pike near the Westview promenade. Exit off Interstate 270, going North or South. The facility is located on Pegasus Court taking up two office spaces to support headquarters staff. It also offers training space and storage. R.S. Frederick is responsible for areas of operation starting in West Virginia down to the suburbs of Washington D.C. The recruiting station has 25 recruiting facilities and covers approximately 224 high schools and 15 community colleges with approximately 80 personnel.
The mission of Recruiting Station Frederick is to provide the highest quality men and women for service in the United States Marine Corps, to provide continuous professional development for our people, and to promote a positive image of the Marine Corps in our local communities.
