Sgt. Victor Sierra, a drill instructor and Covina, California native, teaches Poolees drill commands during the 2015 Annual Field Meet, at Dufresne Recreational Park, May 16. Approximately 465 newly enlisted men and women from across New England, to include; Western Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, attended the event. The annual Marine Corps event is designed to challenge the Poolees’ physical fitness through various competitions and tests of endurance to ensure that they are prepared for the rigors of Marine Corps recruit training.
