Marshall was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis only eight months after birth, a disease that hardens mucus in the chest and leads to troubled breathing and infection. Marshall requires daily treatment for her condition, yet drives herself to live a normal life and uses sports as a therapeutic outlet.
