NEW YORK—Cpl. Teodoro Elizondo III, right, eats a piece of ceremonial cake during the Marine Corps birthday celebration at the Council of Foreign Relations Nov. 6 as Col. Stephen Liszewski and Gui Wyser-Pratte look on. “Doing it here was important because there are a lot of civilians here and they never get to see anything like this so they get to be exposed to it and kind of understand what goes on in the Marine Corps,” said Col. Stephen Liszewski, the U.S. Marine Corps military fellow to the Council on Foreign Relations. Elizondo was the youngest Marine present at the event and Wyser-Pratte was the oldest Marine present.
