Joseph Rutledge, a resident of Middletown, R.I., and recent graduate of Middletown High School, is one of this year’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship Program, Marine Corps Option, recipients. Capt. Thomas Abbott, the Executive Officer of Marine Corps Recruiting Station Springfield, Mass., presented Rutledge with a $150,000 scholarship during a high school awards ceremony June 11, 2014, at the school.
