Marines from the 1st Marine Corps District, Recruiting Station New York and 6th Communications Battalion exit the Battery Tunnel alongside thousands of runners during the Tunnel to Towers run Sept. 29. The Tunnel to Towers run is an annual event to remember firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life during the attacks on 9/11. During the attacks, Siller ran to the World Trade Center through the Battery Tunnel, with all his gear on him. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Capt. Timothy Irish).
