MALTA, NY, (May 17, 2013)—Lance Cpl Taylor Janis, an infantryman with Company E, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, based in Syracuse, NY, watches a race with 8-year-old Matthew Sleight at the Albany Saratoga Speedway, May 17, 2013. Janis, a native of Ballston Spa, NY, was being honored by the Speedway for his actions to help save the lives of several children, including Matthew Sleight, injured during a car accident in Amsterdam, NY, in March 2013.
