Educators from Marine Corps Recruiting Stations New York and Springfield witnessed a part of the Crucible during an annual Educators Workshop aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., April 4. The Crucible is a 54-hour training exercise which requires recruits to overcome mentally and physically-demanding obstacles with little food or sleep before claiming the title Marine.
