MORRISVILLE, N.Y., (June 28, 2012) – Captain Jordan P. Then, recruiting support officer, Recruiting Station Buffalo, N.Y., commands the parade during the 75th annual New York American Legion Boys State in Morrisville, N.Y., June 28, 2012.The New York American Legion hosts some 1,100 incoming high school seniors from across New York State during the weeklong civics and leadership camp each year at the State University of New York, Morrisville. Boys State participants are assigned to simulated “counties” and “cities”, and form a state government throughout the week.Recruiting Station Albany, RS Buffalo, RS New York, and Headquarters First Marine Corps District, provide Marines to act as mentors and instructors during Boy’s State.
