Major Charles A. Jedlicka

In January 2010, Maj. Charles A. Jedlicka reported to 2d Battalion, 8th Marines in Camp Lejeune, NC and was assigned as 3d Platoon Commander, Golf Company.  In this capacity he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), conducting combat operations in Helmand Province.  Upon returning from deployment, Maj Jedlicka was assigned to the billet of Company Executive Officer and subsequently Commanding Officer, Golf Company.  Major Jedlicka again deployed in support of OEF with an Afghan Security Force Advise & Assist Team in February 2013.

Upon returning from deployment in August 2013, Major Jedlicka attended Maneuver Captains Career Course in Fort Benning, Georgia.

In May 2014 Major Jedlicka executed orders to III MEF Expeditionary Operations Training Group, Okinawa, Japan.  While there he served as the S-3A and the Special Missions Branch Officer in Charge.

In May 2017, Major Jedlicka executed orders to 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines and assumed command of Golf Company.  While in Command, Golf Company deployed to Australia ISO Marine Rotational Force Darwin 2018.  Upon return from deployment Major Jedlicka was assigned the billet of S-3A and subsequently Battalion Executive Officer.

In June 2019, Major Jedlicka reported to Marine Barracks Washington and assumed command of Guard Company.

Major Jedlicka was selected on the Commandant's Professional Intermediate-Level Education Board and executed orders to Marine Corps Command and Staff College in July 2021.

Major Jedlicka is a graduate of, Basic Airborne Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, and Command and Staff College.

Major Jedlicka’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Gold Star, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
