Major Foust was born in Irving, TX, raised in Oklahoma City, OK, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He commissioned in 2016 through Officer Candidate Course.
Following graduation from The Basic School and Infantry Officer Course, he served with 2d Battalion, 8th Marines (2/8) as a Rifle Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer. While at 2/8, Major Foust completed two deployments, first on the Unit Deployment Program - East 18.1 and second with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
In August 2020, he reported to Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. During this tour, he served as Company Executive Officer, Headquarters and Service Company; Ceremonial Platoon Commander, Company B; Guard Operations Officer, Guard Company; and Guard Executive Officer, Guard Company. Major Foust served as the Officer-in-Charge of the White House Communications Agency Marine Security Force. He also served as a White House Social Aide.
In 2023 - 2024, he attended Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS), graduating with distinction.
From June 2024 – November 2025, he served with 2d Battalion, 1st Marines (2/1) as the Weapons Company Commander, deploying as part of the Marine Rotational Force - Darwin 25.3.
From December 2025 – April 2026, he served as the Officer-In-Charge for the Amphibious Raids Branch, Expeditionary Operations Training Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.
On 5 June 2026, he assumed command of Recruiting Station Boston.
