Dill, the commanding officer of the 1st Marine Corps District, says the Pledge of Allegiance surrounded by local Girl Scouts and veterans during the City of White Plains Veterans Day Ceremony at the White Plains City Hall. Dill was the guest speaker at the ceremony, which was organized to recognize the sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the armed forces. - Col. J. J. Farah was the guest of honor at the mess night and served in the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1983.
