Retired Marine Sgt. Leory Peasley (left), an Iwo Jima veteran, shows his awards to some of the Marines aboard the USS Oak Hill (LSD-51) at the local American Legion in Rockland, ME, Aug. 6, 2016. Marines and sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 8, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, aboard the Oak Hill, anchored in Rockland, ME, Aug. 3-7 to display the expeditionary capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team during Rockland’s Lobster Fest. The unit presented vehicles and weapons for public tours aboard the Navy LSD and participated in the city’s annual parade and events at the local American Legion Hall.
