WHITE PLAINS, New York- Thomas Roach (right), and Col. James Iulo (left), place a reef in honor of veterans past and present at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, May 24. “I think it’s a wonderful opportunity for us to stop, pause and remember all the many men and women who gave their life to preserve freedom and to remember all those who are currently putting their lives at risk so that we can live in this wonderful country,” said Roach, Mayor of White Plains, New York. Col. Iulo is the 1st Marine Corps District commanding officer and grand marshall for the 2015 White Plain Memorial Day Parade.
