Nicholas Mclean, center, is inspected by Lt. Col. Maxx Godsey Dec. 17 during Freeport High School’s Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Annual inspection. “This is like our super bowl,” said Mclean, the commanding officer of NJROTC and a Freeport, New York, native. “We all get to come together in our uniforms and show our community what we’re about.” Godsey is the 1st Marine Corps District executive officer.
