BOSTON - Staff Sgt. Bernard J. Lewis accepted a gold wreath on behalf of the United States Marine Corps from Ifigenia Kanara, the Consul-General of Greece, inside the Massachusetts Statehouse on Oct. 22. There are three wreaths presented from Marathon, Greece, to the Marine Corps Marathon as a symbol of democracy. The wreaths, dipped in bronze, silver and gold, will be presented next week to the winners of the Marine Corps Marathon. Lewis is a canvassing recruiter assigned to Recruiting Substation Boston and is a native of Omaha, Neb.
