Sgt. Phillip Campas, a drill instructor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., and a Bakersfield, Calif., native, teaches basic drill to educators from Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, during the first day of the Educator Workshop at MCRD Parris Island, April 3, 2013. The workshop brings together teachers, administrators and other education professionals aboard the depot and gives them the opportunity to experience what recruit training is like in the Corps.
