Major Dennis A. Graziosi

Major Graziosi enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve after graduating high school and completed Recruit Training in September 2005.  After graduating from the School of Infantry in October 2005, Private Graziosi reported to 3d Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment and served as a machine gunner, team leader, and squad leader.  Upon completion of the Platoon Leaders Course Juniors and Seniors in 2006 and 2008 respectively, Second Lieutenant Graziosi reported to The Basic School.

After completion of the Infantry Officer Course in September 2010, he reported to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment (V16).  Second Lieutenant Graziosi was assigned a rifle platoon commander, Company B.  He deployed with V16 in July 2011 in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM to the Sangin District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.  In October of 2011, he participated in OPERATION EASTERN STORM in Kajaki Sofla, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.  In December of 2011, First Lieutenant Graziosi served as the company executive officer for the remainder of the deployment.  After re-deployment, First Lieutenant Graziosi continued to serve as the executive officer for Company B.  Upon forming the initial Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response Africa, First Lieutenant Graziosi served as the V16 detachment officer in charge and was assigned to 2d Reconnaissance Battalion from January to June 2013.

Captain Graziosi received orders to The Basic School in June 2013 where he served as a primary instructor for platoon operations.  He then served as a staff platoon commander for Echo Company 5-14 and India Company 1-15.  In May of 2015, Captain Graziosi served as a primary instructor for raid and platoon / company level operations at the Infantry Officer Course.  While serving at The Basic School, Captain Graziosi earned a Master’s Degree in Military History from Norwich University.  In August of 2016, he reported to Expeditionary Warfare School and graduated in May of 2017.

Captain Graziosi reported to 1st Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment in June 2017 and served as the assistant operations officer in support of the Black Sea Rotational Force 17.1 deployment.  Upon re-deployment, Captain Graziosi assumed command of Company B.  While in command of Bravo Company, he executed EXERCISE BOLD ALLIGATOR 17 and conducted a pre-deployment training cycle in preparation for the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit.  While forward deployed, he planned, coordinated, and executed several major international exercises in the European Command area of operation.  Additionally, he served as the Ground Force Commander during an evacuation operation in Tripoli, Libya.

After the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit deployment, Major Graziosi served as the Battalion Operations Officer during a pre-deployment training cycle and subsequent deployment to Okinawa in support of the Unit Deployment Program 20.2.  In May 2021, Major Graziosi reported to Recruiting Station New York.
